Approach:
- Developing simple, not restrictive (loose) yet formal patterns for hierarchical modeling traditionally ill-defined learning objects, learning activities, learners and learning services. The modeling patterns are supposed (1) to integrate explicit and tacit knowledge of pegagogic experts, preferences of learners as well as machine learning results; (2) to facilitate automatically generated goal-oriented control/tutoring over learning processes
- Developing the patterns-based web/wiki authoring tools for collaborative "manual" analysis, specification, structuring and integration of learning content, activities and competencies into corresponding models. That is a curriculum design part.
- Conducting tools-supported collaborative analysis of business, professional and learning activities, specifying business goals and metrics, professional competencies and learning objectives and synthesis of their integrated explicit models. Synthesis of hierachical models of cross related business activities, jobs, tasks, performances and competencies. That is collaborative design of curriculum alighned with business goals
- Analysis, Mathematical Posing and Generic Solution of traditionally ill-defined learning management and instructional tasks
- Complete separating Logical and Media aspects of instructional system design:
- In Logical (control, management) aspect, proposing an Intelligent Service for automatic sequencing (1) basic instructional manners: passive coaching or active tutoring; (2) tutoring modes: supply, testing, diagnosing and remediation; and (3) instructional assignments: learning activities, assessmnets and exercises within each current mode
- In Media (presentation, design) aspect, reuse of existing CBT/WBT content, authoring tools and delivery platforms;
- Integrating the Intelligent Tutoring service/system with existing CBT/WBT Authoring and Delivery services and systems for breakthrough in cost-effective instruction;
- Integrating the Intelligent Tutoring solutions into existing Learning, Performance, Human Capital and Talent Management Systems
- Participation in Learning Technology Standards development, LETSI & SCORM specifically, to standardise the solutions for wide adoption.
