My major area of research and expertise is Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS), a recognized domain on the crossroads of Artificial Intelligence and education, which represents the holy grail of modern eLearning,  Knowledge/Learning Management and Job/Performance Support systems. I am specifically focused on cost-effective  ITS solutions, which means easy auhtoring  and the most effective dynamically adaptive instruction oriented to 100% learning success due to embedded dynamic adaptive diagnosing and remediation of learner's causes of errors.

My interests embrace all aspects of cost effective ITS including:

Challenge

• Create a new standard for Intelligent Courseware Authoring Tools and
• Create a new standard for Intelligent Tutoring Engines generating the most effective adaptive Instruction in different domains.

• Nesting hierachical representation of tutoring tasks and systems;
• Analysis, Mathematical Posing and Generic Solution of traditionally ill-defined tutoring tasks;
• Complete separating Logical and Media aspects of instructional system design and instruction delivery;
• In Logical (control) aspect, proposing a Unified Generator of Intelligent Tutoring including:
  • a Uniform Framework for rapid design of intelligent courseware by filling in it with only specific data of each application;
  • a Uniform Framework for Learner modeling with unlimited capabilities to support dynamic adaptive instruction;
  • a Uniform Engine for automatic sequiencing basic instructional modes (supply, testing and diagnosing) and instructional assignments (of activities, resources, assets) within each current mode based on both of proposed Frameworks;
• In Media (presentation) aspect, reuse of existing CBT/WBT resources, as well as Authoring and Delivery Systems;
• Integrating Unified Generator of Intelligent Tutoring with existing CBT/WBT Authoring and Delivery Systems for breakthrough in cost-effective instruction;
• Integrating Unified Generator of Intelligent Tutoring as a control Middleware into existing Learning/Knowledge Management Systems bridging commonly recognized gap between learning assets delivery and management in eLearning;
• Participation in Learning Technology Standards development, SCORM specifically.
